Our approach to supplier engagement
We recognize the opportunities and challenges of a rapidly growing market, where collaboration between developers and suppliers is essential. By leveraging both local and global supplier networks, we aim to create new economic opportunities and strengthen the supply chain for offshore wind projects.
Over time, our approach to supplier engagement has evolved to maximize the opportunities created by our projects’ progression through development. The Supplier Transparency and Engagement Program (STEP) embodies this evolution, providing a proactive and innovative approach to supplier engagement that supports the growth of the US clean energy market.
STEP – improving supplier engagement
STEP reflects our commitment to continuously improving supplier engagement by fostering transparency, inclusivity, and collaboration. Through new practices, including increased dialogue with our supplier network, we are working to ‘step up’ our efforts to empower American innovation and strengthen local supply chains.

- RWE’s goal is to actively engage with capable global and local partners, ranging from consulting services to large-scale manufacturing. We prioritize partnerships that support local economic development and contribute to the long-term success of the US offshore wind industry.

- RWE does a thorough competitive bidding process for relevant scopes & makes objective decisions based on a number of factors including industry experience, financial checks, review of relevant technical qualifications, ability to support local content & competitiveness of total offering.
